Lets see, if I read correctly you said you got on your bike.... Here's the thing, in what we like to call Armstrong country, we tend to get on the bike and pedal it. Typically you will not notice the wind or hills when just sitting on your bike and not moving. Colorado riding does not apply here, one can't sit on the bike and allow gravity to do all the work.
